WHAT'S IN MY BACKPACK

Good morning guys.... or Good evening?
The inspiration for this post came from my obsession with "What's in my bag" videos on youtube! I enjoy watching them so much, so I decided to show you guys what I have in my backpack!
I currently own the "Classic Nylon Clay" from Kate Spade.
(Picture from Kate Spade)

In the front left pocket, I have the most essential items.
• mirror
• gum
• lip balm
• hair ties & bobby pins
• headphones

In the front middle pocket, I have
• wallet
• pill bottle with quarters

In the front right pocket, I have
• keys
• phone charger

Inside the backpack itself, I have
• laptop charger
• laptop itself (not photographed)
• planner
• emergency bag

The hand sanitizer is hung on the string that closes and opens the bag.

Inside the emergency bag

Well... yes I carry a lot of things in my backpack! I carry around a lot of items I think I might need in case of an emergency or just feel like I should not get out of the house without. I was not always like this (tbh)

Quick dumb story:
I was heading to my dentist appointment and I was running late. This was my first time going to this location and I found a street meter parking right next to the location. I never carried cash and/or change. Now I had to go to an ATM and then exchange my cash for change. Then to my luck, the meter parking was only for 15 minute parking, so I had to go find another parking lot (they all needed quarters). So I finally parked and stuff.
*skips* So I checked my bank application and I realized that my bank charged me an additional fee for using an ATM! So now I lost 5$+ for not having two quarters, which made me very angry because because I hate wasting unnecessary money on things that could have been avoided.
So from that moment on, I prepare for most scenarios that are thrown in my direction.

What are some of your bag essentials you carry daily?

Just a "going to the mall" outfit

17 June 2016
Hello everyone! Just wanted to share with you guys just a hanging out, going to the mall outfit I was wearing the other day! I'm not a big fashionista, I feel comfiest with sweats and t-shirts, but I try to look decent when going out!

Excuse the appendix scar :(

I purchased this backpack for my birthday last month and I love it! I bring it around everywhere I go. For a very long time, I have been looking for a designer backpack after my not-so-designer backpack ripped. So roomy and sturdy, would definitely recommend to everyone who prefers backpacks over purses.

DIY french toast!

Hello everyone! How often do you guys crave a specific breakfast, but do not have enough time in the morning to make it? Yes, we all do at one point!  My latest craving was french toast, so me and S (Stephen) decided to make an easy recipe, that I would love to share with everyone!
The recipe (below) took us 12-15 minutes (mostly trying to find the things we needed) and we were satisfied!
Serving size: 2
What you will need:
・4 eggs (the yolks only)
・3 slices of bread
・2/3 cup of milk
・cinnamon
・a whisk
・a bowl
・a pan
・stick of butter (unsalted or salted)
・rubber spatula
・cutting board
・bread cutting knife
Optional:
・fruits
・syrup
*Picture only has three eggs, but four is needed!
1. You will begin by having a bowl, you will mix the 4 egg yolks, 2/3 cup of milk, and a dash of cinnamon in it.

2. You will use a whisk to mix all the ingredients together.
3. Once done, you will soak the three bread pieces (one at a time) in the bowl.

Note: We had a little bit of left over ingredients in the bowl, which one more piece of bread can be used!

4. You will now need to prepare the pan.
To save butter, you can move the stick of butter in a circular motion (picture is shown above) all over the pan.

5. The bread pieces are now ready to be put in the pan!
Cook 1 minute and 10 seconds per side.
You will use a rubber spatula to flip the bread.

6. Now you will need a bread cutting knife (or any knife will do).
You can cut your french toast in as many pieces are you desire, we did 6 for each bread.

We set them up like the game Jenga, a tower of french toast!

You can add fruits to decorate your french toast and syrup!

I hope you all enjoy and have simpler mornings now!

Tourist Attractions not to miss when in NYC!

3 June 2016
Hi everyone! Happy Saturday! I have been MIA on this these past few days because of work and all. But I'm back! Well yesterday, since me and Stephen both did not work, we decided to hit of course NYC to see what there was to do! We love going there because every time we go, we always see something we previously have not seen before. Also, we have been very motivated to make steps since it is calculated by our Fitbits so city walking deff kept us moving.

Places we visited:
・The Ainsworth
・Mr. Throwback
・Metropolis Apparel
・10 Below
Stephen too busy on his cellphone!
The Ainsworth
Since we arrived there by lunchtime, we decided to stop by a restaurant called The Ainsworth.
Previously before coming here, we stumbled upon a video on Facebook of a delicious unique Mac and Cheese burger, which is offered in this location. We knew we had to have it! Since the lunch menu runs from 11am to 4pm, we got an amazing deal. For 16$, we received a starter, one entrée and one non-alcoholic beverage. The starter and the entrée were served in smaller portions, but it was delicious and got both of us full for the rest of the day.
35 minute walk from Grand Central!

Me:
Starter: Chicken Avocado Cobb Salad

Looked and Tasted Amazing!

Stephen:
StarterKale Caesar Salad

"One of the best burgers I have ever ate and I'm not a burger person"
                             Next stop: Mr. Throwback
Stephen has been really interested in vintage shirts recently and we decided to stop by this location.
It is basically a thrift shop that has a lot of old school t-shirts, jackets, jerseys, and hats. They also had a small location for some wrestling figures, old baseball cards, games and movies. It was a very small location, but it was very cool! Stephen bought a Road Dogg "Doggy Style" vintage WWF shirt that dated back to 1998.
Following Stop: Metropolis Apparel
This location was much larger and had a vast collection of old jerseys, t-shirts, jeans, foot-wear, and jackets. Even though we did not buy anything, we thought it was a very cool location.

We stopped by a lot of stores in SOHO, but
our final destination was 10 Below!
10 Below serves Thai-inspired ice cream rolls.
When we arrived there, there was quite a long line, but it went pretty quickly. We were to choose from the numbers 1-8 (below) of the ice cream flavor we would like and have to give our name. They write it in a cup and when our name is called, we get to see a cool show of our ice cream.
One size, unlimited toppings, cool show = $7.

Left (Me): #2 Monkey Business w/ strawberries, whipped cream, caramel, and granola
Right (Stephen): #4 Cookie Monster w/ strawberries, nilla wafers, graham crackers, and a chocolate drizzle

My outfit:
Cashmere Sweater (similar to this one)
Thong Sandals (here) but also (here)

Overall, for the day I did:
Steps: 26, 361
Distance walked: 11 miles
Calories burnt: 2573

Fitbit Charge HR is being sold here for 21 dollars off regular price!

Hope you all have a fine rest of the day!
